We planted the trees. We farm the orchard. We harvest the fruit. We love the oil.
Moon Dog Olive Farm is located in the heart of the wine country in Northern California where we farm the trees organically. Our extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is estate grown; milled only from the olives we grow here on our farm.
This oil will knock your socks off!
It all began in 2007. We wanted to do something we loved (grow things) and add a little beauty to our Mother Earth. We agreed on olives. We cleared the “debris,” plotted a map, dug the irrigation lines, planted the tiny trees and haven’t looked back.
We planted three Italian varieties of olives; Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino. These are considered to be a classic Tuscan blend. The oil is full of fresh, green fruit that isn’t easily found every day.
We say, “Try it! You’ll like it.”
